Document Shredding Event

Got old bank statements or medical records piling up?  On Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Newark Corporation Yard (37440 Filbert Street, the City of Newark is hosting a free shredding event where residents and businesses can securely dispose of sensitive documents.  Shredding items like bank statements, medical records, and other personal papers keeps your information safe, protects against identity theft, and ensures documents are destroyed responsibly.

Here's what you need to know:

• Limit: up to two banker-sized boxes of documents per household or business.
• Who can participate:  Newark residents (with ID/utility bill verification) and Newark businesses (with a current business license).
• First-come, first-served:  no appointment necessary.
