Message From Linda Ashley, CEO
 In April of 2004 I was hired by the Executive Team of the Newark Chamber of Commerce to take our Chamber to the next level in our long and challenging history.
A few of the many things accomplished in the last year are:
- Strategic Plan, including new Mission and Vision Statements, to help us focus on the direction our membership wants the Chamber to grow.
- Update of membership records, including new CRM program.
- Directory published in the popular binder format allowing for frequent updates.
- Website completely revised.
- Successful monthly lunches and mixers.
- Successful fundraisers – Miniature Golf Tournament, Fireworks Booth, Entertainment Book sales, and Rib Dinner & Auction.
- Membership brochure was published.
- 67 new members joined our Chamber.
- The Voice of Business continued with improved placement in the Argus.
- Office décor changed to include a conference table for meetings.
I am glad that I accepted the challenge and hope to continue helping to make this Chamber the best it can be!
